We are currently looking for talented Flat & Pitched Roofing Estimators to join our team at our Bedford head office.

Key responsibilities:

• As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and supervising the work of junior estimators.
• Mentoring and enhancing the skill set of Junior Estimators
• Develop detailed estimates for a range of tenders, that may include a variety of “non-roofing” elements, as part of the clients full scope of works.
• Collaborate with a team of surveyors to interpret tender documents, issue high-quality sub-contract inquiries, and evaluate quotations to ensure compliance with client requirements.
• Attend site visits with Surveyors during the tender stage and with the Projects team during the delivery stage, though the role is primarily office-based in Bedford.
• Utilise your understanding and experience in various trades to contribute effectively.
• Exhibit a keen analytical eye and attention to detail.
• Report to the Estimating Director.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

What we are looking for:

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field preferred but not essential.
• In-depth knowledge of refurbishment project processes, materials, and industry best practices.
• Proven experience in pricing projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting and explaining estimates to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in delivering competitive tenders.
• Valid driving licence.
• Ability to work at height if required.
• DBS (to be obtained by the Company).
